Baby Skin Care

Baby Skin Care Tips and Information

Initially the baby skin is covered with a yellowish-white, greasy material. It is easily washed off in the first bath. Incompatibility between mother’s and child’s blood group can cause the baby skin to be stained yellow. In such cases, the doctor immediately takes steps.

After the first bath a red and raw skin appears. Minor abrasion and raw areas ae vulnerable to bacterial infections. Blue patches in certain areas are visible initially, but they disappear on their own.The extra fairness in the natal stages should not be interpreted as fair complexion. It is due to absence of enough pigment (melanin) which develops over the week, bringing the normal color to the baby skin.
